2019, the hosts of UNDOX have picked their shortlists for the 3rd International Festival of Innovative Documentary Art. This year we are (re)introducing Tsveta Dobreva (FID Marseille), Andreas Ungerböck (ray Filmmagazin), Claudia Slanar (Belvedere 21), anthropologist Minou Norouzi (Helsinki Collegium for Advanced Studies) and the Viennese journalist Alejandro Bachmann. All of them will be presenting their favorite films personally at UNDOX 2019 – alongside with the filmmakers Elise Rasmussen (New York), Ute Adamczewski (Berlin), Ralo Mayer (Vienna), Jean-Marc Chapoulie and Randa Maroufi (both from Paris).
In five program blocks, UNDOX hosts are presenting nine unusual documentaries from five continents – seven of which are being shown in Austria for the first time. One of the films celebrates its European premiere.
As usual, UNDOX begins with a wine reception (Fr, 6:00 p.m.). The second festival day begins with an invigorating Filmmakers Brunch (Sat, 11:00 a.m) hosted by dok.at. Welcome!
